But before I do that, I had a few thoughts about cell phones that I wanted to share.

I think that I have discovered the true measure of success. And guess what? It is completely tied to your cell phone. How in the world did we ever get along without a cell phone...or two or three, for some of you?

I regularly see people with multiple cell phones strapped to their belt, hanging off their purse or attached to their pockets. I see people interrupting their lunch at a restaurant to take cell phone calls. I have witnessed them walking out of theaters and missing the entire fifth and sixth inning of their kid’s little league baseball game. I am not talking about casual calls from friends or family. I mean “let’s interrupt the world every five minutes due to an emergency at the office” kind of calls.

What that tells me is their life and business are way out of control or that they are full of paranoia that something will go wrong in their world. Now, I am not naive enough to believe that you can’t exist without a cell phone in this world. After all, I have a teenage son that hangs out with his buddies and I like to be available for any situation in which he may need me.

But I guarantee you that when I want to go to dinner with friends and family, my office doesn’t call me under any circumstances, if I say so.

Which brings me to the pressing question at hand…
